1963 MGB

This car was our first venture into MG ownership, in May 2001.  We bought it from a couple in Maidenhead, Berkshire, and, by an odd twist, drove it away 3 years to the day from when they themselves had bought it.  It has a 1966 registration but was actually built in 1963 and immediately exported, returning to the UK with its original owner in 1966.  Its history, much of which came from a previous owner who took the trouble to track down the car via the MG Car Club MGB Register, is very interesting and was featured in the May 2007 edition of the MGCC’s Safety Fast magazine.  It narrowly escaped being used for target practice by the British Army!  We believe the colour was changed from its original black to its current Old English White when it was restored in the early 1990s.
