It's a 1971 MK
III Midget RWA
I have owned the car for just over 12 months now, and its purchase was
funded by selling a Jeffries concertina.
It was bought from ebay and the description almost matched what the cars
condition was.
Car is very solid and very little rust to be found.
I was (and still am) very pleased with the car.
Various works have been carried out including:-
New unleaded cylinder head
Honed cylinder bores
New piston rings - still makes oil smoke on overrun tho.
Upgraded from dynamo to alternator
Replaced starter motor pinion gear - felt Archemedes who could move the
world with a lever
New front disks and pads
Exchange front shock absorbers
New rear brake shoes
New rear brake adjusters - that took patience
Aldon electronic ignition installed
Installed SU HIF44 carburettor in place of the original twin SUs -
cracking improvement, power and economy
Put earlier MG slotted radiator grill on because I like the look of it
Similarly replaced steering wheel with Mota Lite, my hand are still
clean after a drive now
Took off twin silencer system and replaced with single silencer box -
now the car sounds right
